As a writer myself, I know how lonely, baffling and intimidating the blank page can feel. Over time I’ve accumulated a set of practical habits and approaches that help take the fear out of the process and make writing feel manageable and rewarding.

I love helping writers express their individual voices and develop work that genuinely reflects who they are, rather than forcing stories into a one-size-fits-all template.

I offer one-to-one creative writing and screenwriting tuition for film, television and radio, for everyone from first-time writers to professionals looking for focused development support.

Sessions can take a hard focus on a particular script or idea, or work more broadly on screenwriting skills such as structure, character and dialogue, using scene clips and script extracts from produced films and television episodes.

Rather than teaching rules in isolation, I introduce clear storytelling tools and apply them directly to your work. The emphasis is always on understanding why something works, so insights can be carried forward into future projects.

Most sessions run 60–90 minutes. One-hour lessons suit targeted feedback or craft questions, while longer sessions allow time for deeper development, rewrites or creative problem-solving. I’m happy to recommend the most useful format depending on your aims.

I’m a professionally commissioned screenwriter working across film and television, and a graduate of the National Film and Television School. I’ve taught creative writing and screenwriting as a guest lecturer at King’s College London and the University of the Arts London, and regularly provide professional-level script notes and development feedback.

I work with writers of all ages and experience levels, including beginners, students, emerging writers and professionals. Lessons are tailored to where you are now, whether you're starting from a rough idea or refining an existing script.
