About Emily

Hello, my name is Emily, and I'm here to help you through your Biology and science courses and exams! I studied Biology at the University of Oxford, and have a Master's in the ecological sciences (Species Identification and Survey Skills) from the University of Reading. I have over 300 hours of experience of teaching GCSE and A-level Biology, and pre-GCSE (Y8-9) science & maths, and enjoy teaching at all of those stages, with students of all abilities. My teaching style is relaxed and student-led, to help you the most in the ways you need it. I spent several years after university working in development for a charity passionate about science communication, which put me in good stead for one-to-one tutoring. I really enjoy my subject and helping you to grasp both the basics and the complicated concepts with confidence. I am based in Oxford and all my teaching is currently online. *I am currently taking enquiries for lessons starting September '23 onwards

About the lesson

*I am currently taking enquiries for lessons starting September '23 onwards. My aim is to help you in the areas you're struggling, and to consolidate your knowledge. Come to me with your knotty areas, "I think I missed this" topics, and exam prep, and we can go over what you need to know! I'll help you get to grips with the finer details, while also helping you to understand its wider biological context.
