I am a Professional operatic/classical singer, holding DMA in Voice and was a former AGMA singer at San Francisco Symphony Chorus. I love teaching all kinds of genres.

About Josephine
I am happy to be back in the Bay Area, where I used to sing as a soloist and as a professional singer with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus.
I have a strong passion for singing and teaching. I have taught at colleges in Seoul (Korea) and the US, not only classical songs but also musical theater. Now, I am expanding my materials to include K-pop such as BTS as there are many K-pop lovers!
I know how to help your voice develop properly with a healthy singing technique and meet your needs.
I can teach all levels, from beginners to majors.

I always pursue a healthy singing technique. You have to sing in the right way; otherwise, your voice box (vocal cords) is so fragile that it can be hurt!
I know:
-Where your level is
-What voice type you have
-Which repertoire you should sing
-What is good already and what needs to get better!
-I accompany you on the piano. Currently, I travel to students' homes and can only teach students who have a piano at home.
My lessons will be in settings of 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes: please understand my first lesson is NOT free as I don’t see it is healthy policy for both students and teachers.
For Classical songs:
-I can teach you Italian, German, French, English art songs, and operatic arias.
For Musical Theater and K-pop:
-Upon the student's interest and needs.
