About Rodrigo
My name is Rodrigo, but you can call me Rod. I am a Brazilian native speaker, a writer, a former psychology student, and, of course, a teacher/tutor of Brazilian Portuguese. I've been teaching languages since 2010, including Brazil and USA, and I'm also a specialist in languages teaching since 2014. My major is in English Language and Literature. My personal interests are literature, writing, cinema, politics, psychology, history, and social issues. If you’re willing to dive into the Brazilian multicultural universe, I’m here to help you! If you like verbal communication, my classes are for you! You will have a free environment for talking with no barriers and concerns about making mistakes. Through the Communicative Approach, you will have a very communicative and relaxing environment. Since the first class, you will be exposed to spoken Portuguese and will be able to make and answer short questions. Through the affective filter, I will provide you with a very positive environment, which will reflect in your mood, helping you feel more confident in the learning process. Learning a new language is challenging, so in my classes, you will always have fun and be supported. Once you’re my student, you can always count on me!
