About George

Hi, I'm George. I've been teaching for 5+ years, from ages 4-60+. I've taught privately, in schools and I run workshops. I specialise in guitar, bass guitar, piano, ukulele and music theory tuition. I also have a First Class Honours Degree in music. Here's a bit more about me and my work below:

I'm a professional musician who is current in the music industry. Highly experienced in studio recordings, live performances and live video & radio sessions, I'm a high-calibre multi-instrumentalist with a vast amount of skills & knowledge.

A brief overview of my career has seen me perform at Reading & Leeds festival, support the likes of Tom Odell and Sophie Ellis-Bexter, tour across Europe and the Middle East, and play live on BBC Radio multiple times. I'm also a songwriter, and songs I'm affiliated with have 1,000,000+ streams on the likes of Spotify and Apple Music etc.

About the lesson

My style of teaching focuses in depth on the basic foundations, so as to build a greater complexity further down the line. I take my lessons and my students very seriously, I always have lesson plans in place and most importantly, I understand the necessity of comprehending how people learn differently, and I hone in on this factor and judge accordingly. Although very efficient and driven with my students, I am a very welcoming, happy, relaxed and - most importantly - fun individual, and my first priority is to make my students feel comfortable. I tailor all of my lessons to the student, not to my convenience

Details

My rates are fixed, regardless of standard. I offer a small fee to cover expenses and time when travelling to students homes (this fee is based off of the distance I have to travel)
