About Travis
The most important thing I tell my tutees when they are upset or frustrated with some material is, "Hey, it's totally okay not to know. Every single person did not know at some point before they learned it. I failed a couple maths courses and just kept going." That's how we do. We try and try and try.
"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." Optimism can really change the atmosphere of a study session, either individually or as a group!

Promoting positive attitudes towards the most difficult materials makes the most difficult materials the most interesting, most achievable, and most satisfying.
My method of tutoring comes not from planning out how to present the material, but by understanding the thought processes of the tutees. How are they thinking about it, and how can I get their though process to apply to the problems at hand?
I can tutor all mathematics through Calculus III & Stats. I also tutor English, Spanish, History, and Biology.
