About Joshua
Josh earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Berea College and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from UNC Charlotte. Starting as a college TA, he has been tutoring high school, college, and graduate students for over 17 years. He most commonly assists students in algebra, geometry, and statistics. Josh believes that tutoring creates a positive effect that makes the lives of the student, teacher, and parents easier.

These days, students get enough lectures, videos, and self-guided modules The thought of spending another hour in another lecture can feel DREADFUL! My approach is different in that it is more conversational and engaging! The goal is to have the student leaving the session refreshed and more confident while being productive.
My motto is "I teach you how to not need me". Initially, there will be more conversation and explanation. However, as sessions progress, the student will spend more time being productive until they get to a point of independence and improved performance!
