With a Master’s in Applied Mathematics and a B.Ed., I offer more than just homework help. I focus on the underlying logic of math to help students from Grade 7 through university build genuine independence. Whether you are navigating AP Calculus or university-level Linear Algebra, my goal is to replace frustration with clear, actionable strategies and measurable academic improvement.

About the lesson

I am a professional Math educator based in Metro Vancouver with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and a Master’s in Applied Mathematics. With over 10 years of experience teaching in both classroom and one-on-one settings, I specialize in helping students from middle school through university find clarity in subjects they often find frustrating.

My background in education means I don’t just show students how to solve a specific problem; I help them understand the underlying logic so they can solve the next one on their own.

I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, from Grade 7 students building their foundational skills to university students tackling advanced calculus. I pride myself on being patient, direct, and able to adapt my explanations to fit how each individual student thinks.

Subjects & Specializations:
I provide comprehensive support across all levels of Math and Statistics:

Middle & High School: Math 7–10, Pre-Calculus 11 & 12, Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.
Advanced Placements: IB Math (HL/SL), AP Calculus (AB/BC), and AP Statistics.

University & College: Calculus I–IV, Linear Algebra, Ordinary & Partial Differential Equations, and Probability.
Exam Prep: Targeted coaching for SAT, GRE, GMAT, and math competitions like AMC, Gauss, and Pascal.

I have extensive experience with the specific course requirements and exam styles at UBC, SFU, BCIT, Langara, and KPU, ensuring university students are prepared for exactly what their professors expect.

How I Teach:
All sessions are conducted online via Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams. I focus on high-quality, personalized instruction that prioritizes your current coursework and upcoming exams. My goal is to build your academic confidence and help you see measurable improvement in your grades and your understanding of the material.
