About Cassandra
I have a Masters in Teaching Pre-K - 6th grade and 2 years full time teaching experience as a general education teacher. I then received my TEFL certification and have taught English as a Second Language for 7 years in the university. I have also helped these students by teaching them the different styles of American university courses and tests to better prepare them for success in college in the United States.

I am highly student-centered, asking basic questions at the beginning of sessions to better implement lessons specific to each student's needs. I believe all students learn more when they are having fun, so that is an essential part of my teaching. My lessons are very kinisthetic, meaning my instruction is very hands-on so students can do something to help them remember the lesson, rather than just hear me say it or read it in a book. I value the communicative approach to language learning which involves lots of interactions for the student in all types of environments to best help them understand and practice the language.
