About Carol
I’m a writer, editor, and educator with a strong background in English, creative writing, digital content, and user-centered communication. I hold an MFA and have graduate-level study in Human-Computer Interaction, which has strengthened the way I think about clarity, audience needs, and how people understand information.
I’ve worked across professional writing, editing, technical content, research, content strategy, and digital communication. I enjoy helping people take ideas that feel confusing or unfinished and shape them into clear, organized, confident writing.
As a tutor, I’m patient, encouraging, and practical. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. My goal isn't just to improve one paper or assignment, but to help each student become a stronger, more confident writer over time.

My lessons are supportive and built around what you actually need help with. Whether you’re working on an essay, improving your grammar, editing a paper, or simply wanting to become a stronger writer, I’ll meet you where you are and help you move forward without making the process feel overwhelming.
I have an MFA, a background in English, and graduate study in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI/UX). I also have professional experience in editing, content strategy, technical writing, digital content, and research, so I bring both strong writing skills and an understanding of how people process information.
During a lesson, we might look at something you’re already working on, talk through what’s working and what could be stronger, revise it together, and focus on skills you can use again on your own. I don’t just want to help you fix one assignment—I want you to understand why the changes work and feel more confident the next time you write.
I work with students and adults who need help with essays, academic and professional writing, editing and proofreading, creative writing, research, content development, or simply building confidence in their writing.
