About Hannah
I am a dedicated drum tutor with 18 years of experience teaching students at all levels. Over this time, I have successfully worked with around 150 students, helping them improve their rhythmic understanding, coordination, and drumming technique. I am passionate about making drumming accessible and enjoyable for every learner. My tutoring approach is based on adaptability and clear communication.
I recognize that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching methods to suit individual needs. Lessons focus on strong fundamentals, including timing, hand-foot coordination, and control, while gradually introducing advanced patterns, fills, and musical styles. What makes my teaching unique is my emphasis on structured progress and confidence-building. I encourage students to practice effectively and consistently, while also keeping lessons engaging through music-based learning.
I break down complex rhythms into simple steps, making it easier for students to understand and apply them. I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and focused. Whether a student is just starting out or looking to refine their skills, I provide guidance that supports steady improvement and musical growth. My goal is to help students enjoy drumming while developing strong technical and musical foundations.

A positive attitude is central to my teaching style. I focus on encouragement, patience, and consistent motivation. I help students overcome difficulties by simplifying complex rhythms and reinforcing practice habits.
In addition to drum instruction, I also teach supporting subjects such as rhythm theory, beat structure, coordination techniques, tempo exercises, and practice planning. These subjects strengthen musical understanding and improve overall performance.
