About Elena

Elena is a passionate dancer and educator currently training at the Martha Graham School, following previous studies at The Ailey School. Her artistic journey reflects a rich blend of classical, modern, and contemporary training, shaped by both international performance experience and rigorous study. She is a certified Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) teacher, as well as an International Dance Association (IDA) modern dance teacher.

Her performance career spans a wide range of influential experiences. Most recently, she performed in the Martha Graham repertoire piece 'Celebration', engaging deeply with the legacy and physicality of Graham technique, and collaborated in a work by Maleek Washington, further expanding her contemporary voice.
Earlier in her career, she performed the role of Aurora in 'Sleeping Beauty' in Italy, an experience that strongly informed her classical foundation and stage presence. During her time in Italy, she also performed in the ensemble of 'Turandot', conducted by the renowned Zubin Mehta, an inspiring opportunity that connected dance with the scale and depth of opera.
Before relocating to New York City, Elena spent seven years performing with a contemporary dance company in Italy, where she cultivated versatility, artistic curiosity, and a strong collaborative spirit. T

Elena is committed to ensuring that every student feels confident in the training they receive. Dance is not simply something she does—it is something she has dedicated years to studying, practicing, and refining, both technically and artistically.
She approaches teaching with structure, intention, and a deep respect for each student’s individual growth. Her goal is not only to help students improve their skills, but to ensure they understand how and why they are progressing. She pays close attention to technique, musicality, and body awareness, adapting her teaching style to meet each student’s needs so they can develop safely and effectively.

Elena fosters a professional and supportive environment where students are encouraged to challenge themselves, ask questions, and build confidence in their movement. Through her classes, she guides dancers to refine not only their technique but also their voice as artists. She leads students toward clarity, strength, and precision, while nurturing the quiet confidence that allows movement to truly speak.

In her space, discipline and freedom coexist—students are challenged to grow, supported in exploration, and encouraged to trust both their bodies and their artistry. Technique becomes a foundation, and confidence becomes the light that brings it to life.
