About Henry

I'm currently a freelance violin tutor, tutti player and song arranger at the Hong Kong String Orchestra, I also work in numerous venues including Hong Kong Children Music Centre and M5 Music (HK). As a composer, my works are currently published at Two Bridge Music Press (US). I have years of experience performing both as a Violinist and have my piece performed by professional and student ensembles alike. I will be studying PhD in Musical Composition at Bristol University. I hope my students through studying with me, can develop the skillset necessary to be a well-rounded musician. I will give lessons in a relaxed and pressure-free environment but also objective-oriented, hope every student can make progress after each lesson.

About the lesson

Violin and Composition lessons with Henry will not only enhance your musical sense and techniques, but I will also develop each student to be a versatile musician. My philosophy in teaching is to stimulate each of my pupils and make sure they are interested in music, both as an academic subject and in the fun of making music. I hope my students will not think of themselves as violinists or composers, but as musicians who enjoy and appreciate the process of making music. I will tailor my lesson to each student's needs and hope everyone is happy with what I can offer each lesson!
