About Tori

I have a varied and busy career across multiple disciplines - I am an actor, singer, writer, director and teacher/coach. Television credits include (Here We Go, Back to Life and London Kills - BBC, Plebs, Significant Other and Unforgotten for ITV, Flatshare for Paramount Plus, and Pure for Channel 4). I have a passion for new writing and as a result have performed in many new plays and musicals including I Wish You Well which transferred directly to The Criterion, West End after a sell out Edinburgh run and I have taught and run workshops and masterclasses across the UK (including London Studio Centre, Royal Central and Goldsmiths). I ran a theatre production company for ten years and I also co-founded Burn Bright, a not-for-profit organisation seeking to create a level playing field in the arts, driving a positive change for the next generation of women in the creative industry. I am actively in the industry so I understand it. I know the challenges you are facing. I also work on camera, on stage and behind the scenes when I'm a writer - I have sat on the casting panels and I have been in rooms with producers - so I understand the industry from multiple angles and can share that experience and insight with you. I also know what you're going through because I live it so I can promise you empathy. The same advice and tips I share with you are the same things that I use to book the job or get and maybe even more importantly keep the opportunity.

About the lesson

I am passionate about helping you to feel confident and empowered as you approach an audition, a performance or even if you just want to spend some time honing your skills or trying something different or new. As well as acting coaching I also work with writers, or people creating their own work, and also with those who feel blocked/stuck or stifled creatively. Every lesson I take a different approach because I do not believe that one size fits all, this is your lesson and so the focus is on your needs. I also care deeply about health and wellbeing and sometimes when accessing difficult emotions, it is important to find ways to keep you safe enough to go there so sometimes we'll even look at a bit of breathwork or somatic work if that would suit your process. I also think aftercare matters and am happy to share things that I think might help aid your journey. At the heart of good acting is truth, so I am dedicated to creating a safe place to be dangerous so that you can exceed even your own expectations. If a more traditional approach of tips, techniques and drilling is more your scene, we can do that too. If you book in with me for more than one session we may find that the approach is completely different each time. This is YOUR session and the goal is that you leave feeling ready to absolutely smash it, but also that you've found and can keep the joy in it. I want to create a safe, supportive, honest and open atmosphere and ultimately I want you to win. I look forward to working with you.
