About Moueez

I am a professional Process Engineer working in advanced manufacturing in the UK with industry experience solving real engineering and production challenges. I hold an MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and have worked on process optimisation and continuous improvement projects at global manufacturing company INVISTA.

Academically, I have always had a strong passion for chemistry and science. I was consistently a top-performing student in Chemistry throughout school and college, which built a strong foundation in problem-solving and analytical thinking.

My professional experience allows me to teach engineering and science concepts not only from textbooks but also through real industrial examples, helping students understand how these subjects apply in the real world.

I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that often seem difficult at first. My teaching style focuses on breaking down complex topics into simple steps and developing strong problem-solving skills.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on building deep understanding rather than memorisation. Many students struggle because complex scientific and engineering topics are often explained too quickly or without connecting the fundamental concepts. My goal is to simplify difficult ideas and help students develop strong problem-solving skills that they can apply independently.

At the beginning of the first lesson, I usually assess the student’s current understanding of the subject and identify specific areas that need improvement. Based on this, I tailor the lessons to suit the student’s level, learning style, and academic goals.

A typical lesson usually follows a structured format:

Concept Explanation – I start by explaining the core theory behind the topic in a simple and intuitive way, often using real-world examples from engineering and industry to make the concepts easier to understand.

Worked Examples – We go through step-by-step examples together to demonstrate how the concepts are applied in problem-solving.

Student Practice – The student then works through problems independently while I guide and support their reasoning process.

Exam Strategy – I also help students learn how to approach exam questions efficiently, manage time during tests, and avoid common mistakes.

Because of my background as a professional engineer, I often connect theoretical concepts with real industrial applications. This helps students understand why these topics matter beyond exams and builds stronger long-term understanding.

Lessons are interactive and adapted to each student. I encourage questions and discussions so students feel confident tackling challenging topics. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop their confidence and analytical thinking skills in science and engineering subjects.
