About Carla
I love passing on my love of English to students. Next year, my debut novel will be published by Hachette and I am currently working on my second novel. Reading and writing are the things I love most and so to inspire students to share this enthusiasm is a wonderful thing. I have a Masters in Creative Writing and am now studying for a PhD in Creative Writing too.

I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education many years experience of teaching English. My degree is in English Language and Literature and I have an Masters (distinction) in Creative Writing from Exeter University. In the past two years, I have been highly commended in Spread the Word Life Writing Prize, longlisted for the Bridport Short Story Award, and longlisted for the Bridport First Novel award. These competitions receive thousands of entries and so to be placed is quite an achievement.
I have a talent for improving a learner's confidence and motivating them to succeed. I have a great love of the English language and am passionate about English literature: it is my aim to pass on this enthusiasm to my students. If you can enjoy what you're studying, you stand a much better chance of achieving top grades!
