About Meike
I graduated from LIPA (Music) in 2001 and have been teaching, facilitating, composing, performing and recording music in Liverpool since. I've been playing (and still do) a variety of instruments in several bands, most of which I taught myself - apart from the piano, on which I had classical training from the age of 10, and reaching grade 8 standard by the age of 18. I started teaching piano privately in 2004, and also worked in a private music school as a piano and keyboard teacher for over four years. As a music workshop leader I have worked with hundreds of people, and including my former students at the music school I taught piano/keyboard to over 60 students.
Of those who decided to embark on ABRSM or LCM grades I can proudly say that teh success rate is 100%, with 50% merits an 50% distinction.
I enjoy teaching very much, whether children or adults, and I welcome anybody with special needs.
I also give my students the opportunity to explore other instruments from my eclectic collection to broaden their musical horizons (guitar, bass, hand drums, cajon, didgeridoo, trumpet and more)

I am offering private piano tuition & musicianship for children (5+) and adults in Liverpool and now also online via skype, integrating aural awareness, sight reading, improvisation and music theory in enjoyable and inspiring lessons which are always tailored to my student's preferences and abilities - drawing from classical, traditional, pop and rock repertoires.
Children and adults with special needs are welcome.
Optional LCM or ABRSM exam preparation.
