About Lisa

I am Lisa, psychologist and independent math teacher PH-CH and SVT. I am Franco-Colombian, I speak French, Spanish and English. I love education and I am passionate about being able to help and share my knowledge and experiences with students because I am convinced that teaching allows me to learn something from my students every day. I am organized and methodical, which is not the opposite of fun! I like to laugh, to create different courses and to transform what seems boring into something surprising!

About the lesson

Hi, it's Lisa!

I have been a freelance teacher since 2018. I have experience in supporting middle and high school students from the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur in Colombia, in terms of preparation for tests, the Brevet, revision of courses and revision of scientific methods for the subjects of maths, SVT and physics-chemistry. In this establishment, I also obtained my Scientific french baccalaureate in 2016 with a very good mention.

Psychologist by profession, I deeply believe in the integration of emotional support and a human, attentive and personalized approach to the needs of the student to facilitate his smooth progress in class and his growth. This is why, in my courses, I try to integrate:

1- Clear courses in accordance with the school program followed by the student.

2- The analysis of the particular difficulties of the student and the implementation of dynamic methods and exercises which make it possible to face these difficulties and to increase self-confidence, improve the effective use of time, attention, autonomy, etc.

3- Exercises in accordance with the student's level of knowledge and the use of technological tools to energize the class (videos, interactive games, virtual boards, etc.)

4 - A more human support, which takes into account the emotional difficulties of students and which can have an impact on their academic results.

5 - Effective communication with parents to get them involved in their child's process.

I take care of students in 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd (from french academic system).

My goal is to help students feel much more comfortable with science subjects and with themselves while supporting them in their progress and pursuit of autonomy. I hope to be able to start this journey together soon!
