About Leon
I have been giving private lessons for 5 years to half a dozen students during exam periods and throughout the academic year. I am very satisfied with the results because before starting the courses I always ask to specify the concrete goals in mind for the courses that I propose in order to then be able to effectively evaluate the process and to improve it afterwards. I am confident that my approach that aims to overcome the inherent non-maths related difficulties of the existing secondary school's math program, is an excellent tool to help any student in need of insight and detailed explainations in this domain. This is achieved by keeping the bigger picture in mind in terms of what subjects feed into others and then identifying the best possible way to achieve thourough knowledge of the course in question. My backroung as a mechanical engineering student and my personal interest in the material provide me with the deep understanding needed to do so.

My method of teaching takes place mainly in 3 stages always adapted to each student, first a clear insight into the material accompagnied by any set of questions and answers to clarify / re-explain any theoretical incomprehension, thereafter an exercise session and fully detailed correction with the student follows. Finally, I ask for all the students to continue the process individually to ingrain the new knowledge to be able to apply it broadly in the future.
