About Julian
I trained initially as a print journalist after studying for an English degree. Then after working for a local newspaper group based in Wakefield and also The Yorkshire Post I studied for a Master's Degree in Information Studies which used to be Librarianship. Also I passed teaching qualifications and ran a private tutorial academy doing a wide variety of outreach peripatetic teaching of all age groups for many years. Although primarily specialising in English and other language skills (including English as a Foreign Language, English for Academic Purposes and examination preparation for everything from SATs to A levels and University, police, pilot and teacher entry tests, public school entrance etc) I also taught business studies, maths, geography, religious studies and other subjects. I now travel widely abroad for half the year and enjoy writing and teaching as I travel.
