About Eris
I earned my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Princeton University and have approximately four years of teaching experience across general and organic chemistry courses at Princeton and Penn State. My experience includes leading laboratory sections and recitations, holding office hours, developing original lessons and practice materials, and supporting students individually and in small groups. I enjoy helping students break down difficult concepts, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and become more confident and independent learners. My research background also allows me to connect classroom material to real chemical problems and practical applications. I am also fluent in Spanish and comfortable working with students from a wide range of backgrounds.

I explain difficult topics step by step, work through representative examples, and create customized problem sets to reinforce understanding and build confidence. My teaching style is flexible, and I adjust the pace, level of detail, and problem-solving approach to each student’s learning needs.
