About Courtney marie
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with experience working with KS1- KS4. I completed my undergraduate degree in special educational needs before going on to complete my teacher training at LJMU and have since gone on to work with students with both SEMH and SEND needs. I am currently working as a functional skills tutor which I love.
I believe that learning is an individual experience and aim to provide personalised targeted support which the learner enjoys in order to ensure that my students feel empowered and confident moving forward.

With my experience in teaching a range of ability levels/ ages across the curriculum, I have developed different teaching strategies. This allows me to take a personalised approach to learning that is structured for each individuals learning needs in all subjects. Lessons will be relevant and engaging, I believe that in order to get the most out of learning students need to feel relaxed and take an interest in what they are doing. Therefore, a priority in my lessons is to ensure the student is enjoying what they are doing in order to get the most out of sessions and feel confident going forward!
