About Marina
Hello, I’m Marina. I am currently training to become a primary school teacher and have more than four years’ experience working as a Teaching Assistant across Primary and Early Years settings, as well as around six years’ experience teaching English in a private language school.
Through these roles, I have developed strong experience in teaching phonics, reading, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, writing and comprehension, and I am confident supporting children at different ability levels. I am also very familiar with the EYFS framework and the English National Curriculum, which helps me plan learning that is relevant to what children are expected to achieve at school.
I am patient, encouraging and passionate about helping children grow in confidence. I particularly enjoy supporting children who may feel unsure of themselves and helping them realise that, with the right explanation and practice, they can make real progress and become more independent learners.

My lessons are friendly, structured and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I support children in Early Years, KS1 and KS2, using the EYFS framework and National Curriculum to guide learning.
I focus on building confidence as well as academic progress, particularly in phonics, reading, grammar, sentence structure, spelling, vocabulary, writing and comprehension. In Maths, I support core number skills, arithmetic, times tables and problem solving.
I use clear explanations, modelling, guided practice and independent activities, breaking learning into manageable steps so children understand what they are doing rather than simply memorising answers.
I also adapt lessons according to the child’s schoolwork, areas of difficulty and parental goals. My aim is for every child to leave the lesson feeling more confident, capable and ready to work independently.
