About Jessica
Dear Student,
I would love to assist you as a hard-working, motivated and intelligent tutor. I believe I am a well-qualified applicant due to my extensive experience working with young people and my current study of a Bachelor of Education (Primary) at the University of Newcastle.
I have experience working with young people through my involvement with the St Vincent de Paul Buddy Days which involve working closely with disadvantaged young people. My study towards a teaching degree will also be advantageous in this role as it will give me an understanding of the syllabus, content and curriculum of key learning areas. I additionally tutored HSC students in Studies of Religion 1U whilst completing Year 12 as I completed this as an accelerated course and gained a state ranking in this subject. This involved marking work and revising concepts with students.
I have achieved Band 6 results in English Advanced, Modern History, History Extension, Legal Studies and Studies of Religion 1U and subsequently am confident in my understanding of the syllabus, exams and content within these subjects. I feel that I am well prepared and resourced to assist students within these subjects.
