About Sloane

With 15 years of ESL teaching experience, I specialize in helping high school and college students improve their English proficiency, confidence, and practical communication skills. My teaching philosophy centers on personalized learning, tailoring each lesson to the student’s strengths, goals, and learning style.

I combine structured grammar and vocabulary instruction with interactive reading, writing, speaking, and listening exercises, using real-life examples to make lessons engaging and applicable. I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable participating, asking questions, and taking risks.

About the lesson

I use a C³P framework—Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving—to make English learning engaging and meaningful. Creativity is fostered through storytelling, role-plays, and project-based activities that encourage students to explore language freely and express their ideas confidently.

Communication is central to my approach. I design lessons that emphasize speaking, listening, and interactive engagement, helping students gain fluency and confidence in practical contexts. Compassion guides my teaching philosophy; I recognize the individual learning pace of each student and tailor lessons to meet unique needs, ensuring encouragement and support throughout the journey.
