Having taught senior classes for 15+ years, I believe the in not just reading out the chapters from the books. When taking a class, I prefer to prepare beforehand and focus on actually explaining and engaging the students in conversations. It has helped them retain more after each class, as they are able to relate chapters to conversations easily.
