About Mikhail

My name is Mikhail Elenskiy, and i am from Russia. I have been living in the UK for more than 2 years as I came here for my A-levels in 2022 as it was my dream to study in England. For these past years, I was living in Oxford, and after completing the exams this summer I moved to London and now I am studying at Queen Mary's University of London pursuing Economics and Finance degree.

Even before coming into the UK I had Economics classes back in Russia, and Maths was the first tool there. These two subjects were always main for me as they go hand-in-hand together, so I would be happy to pass some of my experience and knowledge in these fields and prepare students to the exam I took couple of months ago, while I have it fresh in mind with all of my notes with me.

Also, I have an 8.0 (C1 level) IELTS score, so there would be absolutely no language barriers. Regarding my hobbies besides from Economics and Maths, I would first of all highlight football: I am an ex-academy player for Spartak Moscow and big Chelsea fan. Also, I am a freeride skier and participated in Freeride World Tour qualifications 3 times in past 2 years!

About the lesson

I focus on simplifying complex concepts through clear, step-by-step explanations. My teaching methodology combines theory with practical problem-solving techniques to ensure you fully grasp key concepts. I use real-world examples in economics and structured exercises in maths to reinforce understanding and improve exam performance. Each lesson is designed to target weak areas, enhance analytical skills, and build confidence for an exam. We will be using my own notes that I was doing in course of 2 years before an exam this year where I got A*s.

Each session lasts 1 hour. We begin with a quick review of prior material before moving into new topics, with time allocated for questions and problem-solving practice. There is homework, but fully optional: if you have time - you do, if you don't - you don't. Simple as that.

The content of lessons is flexible and will fully rely on your needs - just ask whichever things you want to go through. It could be past papers, topics from school lessons or any area you have struggles with. I do not have a plan - we will make it together.
