About Meena
I am a patient and understanding tutor who is committed to helping students learn and master their goals. I am also a creative and resourceful tutor who can adapt to my student's needs easily. I have been tutoring for the last year and have seen students become more confident with math! I also enjoy tutoring and advising high schoolers who are applying to colleges since I know how challenging it can be.

I currently work with high school and middle school students to help with their math courses. I also help prepare students for the SAT Math section.
I am currently a student at the University of Miami and have a strong academic background which includes completing up to Calc 2 with A's in all major math classes.
With my current students, I am patient and an effective communicator, I am also able to adapt my teaching styles to best fit the student.
I believe in the use of inquiry-based learning and problem-based learning. I believe these are the best methods for middle and high school students who are trying to build a strong foundation in math.
A typical lesson is reviewing previous material and ensuring they understand concepts before moving forward. I especially like to make sure my student practice both during tutor sessions and independently. I make use of online resources in lessons as well such as Khan Academy so we can practice and use assessments to make sure students are mastering the concepts.
