I have recently graduated from Seattle University with a bachelors of science in Mathematics and a minor in Economics. I have done individual tutoring in math for the past 3 years and have also done study group tutoring for the past 2 years.

Typically I like to see how the student works/thinks about a math problem and try to work around study strategies from there. Sessions are more effective when students come with questions prepared or work they want to go over. Rather than giving answers and expecting a student to understand what I did, I go over a specific problem with the student, ask if they have questions, and then have the student do a similar problem where they must go over each step to ensure that they are truly understanding the process. I try not to ask yes/no questions, but rather questions that a student has to engage in answering so that they get the most out of their understandings.

Details
Per student per hour is $17 (traveling by bus so travel fare is an additional $6). No cancelation fee if told in advance by 24 hours, after that cancelation fee of $10 and if I have already traveled the additional $6.
