About Jessica

In September 2019, I moved to Spain to become a TEFL-qualified teacher. I gained my qualification through an intense 120-hour course accredited by IATQuO, meaning my teaching is of the highest standard. Since then, I have been working in a Spanish school as a Language Assistant, where my main role was to support ESL students in their English speaking skills - helping them to gain confidence and start to enjoy learning English! At school I worked with over 150 children, mainly in group classes, who were all very excited to have sessions with me. I also taught private lessons to Spanish students, focussing on individual areas of improvement. All my students thoroughly enjoyed my lessons and found they learned a lot with my fun method of teaching!

About the lesson

I want to make my teaching fun and exciting for students, to spark a love of learning English which will grow into confidence using the language. I use lots of games to engage students, so they learn without even knowing it! Of course, each lesson I introduce a new concept to the students, and use activities which allow me to assess whether a student has grasped the objective.
My lessons are structured in 4 parts: warm up, introduction, presentation, practice! This method has proven to work for all my students and produces great results.
Most of my experience is with primary school children. I tailor my lessons to each child. This allows me to adapt my teaching to the student's requirements and current level of English. It also means I am flexible to give any lessons you wish!

I am willing to travel 15 miles free of charge. I can discuss rates for lessons further afield with individual students.
I have a 24-hour cancellation period free of charge.
