About Mia
I grew up speaking Afrikaans. I went to school with Afrikaans as the main language of teaching from pre-primary to high school, and it made me develop a love for teaching and learning the language, which is why I would like to guide students and witness their progress. I have a passion for the language and its culture, which is why I want to share my enthusiasm for the language and its cultural context.

What makes my Afrikaans teaching skills unique is that I am patient and the lessons that I offer are engaging and I take my time to make sure that the student understands. I grew up speaking Afrikaans, it was my language of learning from pre-primary to high school. What students can expect from me is an initial assessment to evaluate where they are currently and identify their strengths and weaknesses, grammar and spelling, writing and pronunciation and conversing and communication. My lessons are aimed at students who are at learning level or as a second language at school and struggle a lot.
