About Megan
I have recently graduated my English Literature degree with an Upper Second-Class honours and have transferred over to postgraduate study. I have prior experience tutoring students of all ages, including GCSE and A-Level, both in and out of a classroom environment. While my heart belongs to literature, I have an extensive knowledge of English Language, RE and Philosophy and feel very comfortable tutoring in these subjects.

I wouldn’t say I have a set methodology when it comes to teaching, as every student has a different way of learning. However, I do believe it is important to make every lesson interesting (yes, that includes Of Mice and Men!) as that’s the best way to ensure the information sticks. When it comes to exam prep, the best method is just practice, practice, practice. I am more than happy to mark mock exam papers or essays in my spare time to provide detailed feedback and a step-by-step plan to improve. Let’s face it, exam papers are daunting enough without the added pressure of our current environment. I will work tirelessly to ensure students I tutor will walk into the exam hall with their head held high and beaming with confidence.

My first lesson is free! After that, the price is negotiable and there are discounts for ordering multiple lessons. My rate is £10 an hour- that also includes creating lesson plans, study materials for the student to use outside tutoring hours and marking essays/exam papers in my spare time.
