Lessons always starts with a starter activity that gives students a platform to start thinking about the topic. This followed by a teacher explanation of the topic during which students are encouraged to initiate a discussion. As Physics involves solving problems, sample problems will be discussed which is followed by students solving problems by themselves. Scaffolding and support will be given as required by the student. Sessions will be concluded by a small assessment which helps students to consolidate what they have learned during the session.
Sometimes students will bring in a piece of work. In such cases, I will make sure students have an understanding of the concepts or will teach them the concepts and then will the solve the work through a discussion method. Retrieval practices will be carried out regularly which will help them prepare for the school tests.
