About Emilia
I’m a second-year Politics student at Cardiff University with a genuine passion for helping others understand and enjoy the subject. My university studies have equipped me with a strong academic foundation, particularly in essay writing, critical thinking, and understanding complex political systems, all essential for A-Level success. Although I’m not yet a graduate, I bring up-to-date academic knowledge, a relatable approach, and a deep understanding of what examiners look for. Having recently gone through A-Level style assessments myself, I know the challenges students face and how to overcome them. I take tutoring seriously: I come prepared, I tailor each session to your individual needs, and I aim to create a focused but relaxed environment where you feel confident asking questions and trying new approaches. You can count on me to be punctual, organised, and encouraging. My goal is to help you build real confidence in your abilities and achieve results you can be proud of.

I focus on breaking down complex political ideas into understandable, real-world examples using active learning techniques like discussion, debate, and practice questions. I teach exam technique, timing strategies, and essay planning while encouraging confidence, curiosity, and independent thinking. Every session is tailored to your needs, whether it’s revising ideologies, analysing UK/US politics, or perfecting 25-mark essays. Online lessons can be between 30-60 minutes long and can include mini quizzes, essay walk-throughs, or discussion-based learning — whatever works best for you! Lessons are for A-Level Politics students (AQA or Edexcel), but I'm happy to help GCSE students or first-year students too. My lessons are for anyone who wants to boost essay grades, improve understanding, or get exam-ready.
