"I selected David from this site to coach my 12 year old son who is very keen on Basketball. I was a little unsure what to expect. David is terrific. He is extremely reliable, professional and is absolutely wonderful with kids (and adults!). My son Benji loves his sessions and his skills have shot up since David started working with him. David was a top player and brings all the tools and tips to the lesson from his time at the top. An unbeatable experience for anyone who loves getting better at basketball!"
Hey everyone,
My name is Dave and I am really excited to assist you in your basketball development journey. I fell in love with basketball at the age of 6 after seeing a game on TV. From there, it has been my whole life.
-I played in every New Zealand age group representative team from under 12-junior national team.
- Participated in Junior Olympics in Sydney
- I was a back to back National High School New Zealand Champion in 2005 and 2006 (not losing a game in those two years).
- Chosen as a member of the inaugural NZ Breakers Development squad.
- Received a full basketball scholarship to a 4 year American university.
- Chosen to represent NZ at the World University Games in China.
- 2x Conference All Star basketball selection.
- American College National Champion (in Division II NAIA)

- I am a very hands on teacher both online and in person.
- Typical length of lesson would be 60 minutes, as this allows both teaching on skills, and developing those skills in a game simulated format.
- My experience in playing nationally and internationally allows me to develop players at all different skill levels (from beginner through to experienced).
- Post sessions, I can send a recap of the skills were practiced as well as reference material in order for the player to continue to develop those skills if they wanted.

Perfect! I can’t recommend Dave enough! I took lessons with him for a few months, and my skills, especially my shooting, have improved significantly. He’s consistent, knowledgeable, and has really helped build my confidence. The lessons have been incredibly valuable, and if you’re looking to improve at all levels, Dave is definitely your guy!
