About Nina
I am a piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Studies. In addition to teaching, I work as a performer and composer, exploring music in many forms. I believe that learning piano is a lifelong journey, and every student’s path is unique. I work with both beginner and advanced musicians, tailoring lessons to their goals and abilities. Beginners are guided through foundational techniques, music theory, and basic repertoire, building confidence from the very first lesson. Advanced students focus on refining technique, exploring challenging repertoire, and developing their own musical voice. My approach blends structured practice with creative exploration. Composition and improvisation are encouraged, helping learners connect personally with the music they play. I also emphasize performance skills, including stage presence, interpretation, and expression. Each lesson is designed to inspire curiosity, skill development, and a deeper love for music. I aim to make learning piano both enjoyable and meaningful. Whether preparing for exams, performances, or personal growth, my goal is to help every student flourish. Music is more than notes on a page—it is a form of expression, a challenge, and a joy. Together, we explore it fully, developing technique, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the piano.

My teaching approach combines technical skill, creative exploration, and practical application. For students preparing for ABRSM, Rockschool, or A-Level exams, lessons focus on technique, sight-reading, and performance skills in line with the curriculum. Historical context is included to deepen understanding of styles, composers, and genres. Composition and creative exercises encourage learners to explore their own musical ideas and develop a personal voice.
Each session balances structured practice with engaging activities, keeping lessons lively and meaningful. Learners who enjoy jazz, pop, or contemporary styles are supported in adapting techniques to their chosen genres. Improvisation, chord progressions, and rhythm exercises strengthen both technical and creative skills.
Feedback is consistent and tailored to help learners improve efficiently and confidently. I emphasize building strong fundamentals while fostering artistic expression and musicality. Performance practice is included to help students feel confident in exams, recitals, or personal projects.
