About Lauren
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music and have been teaching piano for over eight years. My academic background provided me with comprehensive training in performance and pedagogy, equipping me to guide students through every stage of their musical journey with patience and expertise. Over the years, I have taught learners ranging from children starting their very first notes to adults preparing for graded examinations. This wide experience has shown me the importance of tailoring lessons to individual needs while maintaining a structured approach that guarantees steady progress. My piano lessons begin with essential fundamentals such as scales, finger exercises, and rhythm patterns. These foundational elements give students control over technique and timing, allowing them to approach pieces with confidence while strengthening the coordination required for more complex music.
As students progress, I focus on sight-reading, chord patterns, and harmony. This stage helps them understand structure, recognize intervals, and improve musical fluency.
