About Sarah
I am a piano tutor with 9 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy and Artistic Performance. My passion for piano began with its ability to create rich sound worlds and express emotion through harmony and melody. Teaching piano allows me to guide students through both technical development and creative discovery.
My teaching style is patient, structured, and supportive. I help learners strengthen finger control, rhythmic stability, music reading, expressive dynamics, and performance comfort. Many students begin feeling unsure about coordination or note-reading, and I take pride in helping them build steady confidence through encouragement and step-by-step learning. I believe piano should feel inspiring, not intimidating.
Outside of teaching, I remain connected to piano through repertoire study, ensemble collaboration, and ongoing exploration of modern teaching methods. Watching students transform into confident musicians is deeply fulfilling. My goal is to help you play with freedom, clarity, and joy, building a piano journey you can truly be proud of.

My piano lessons are designed to help students build both strong musical foundations and a deep enjoyment of playing. Piano is a unique instrument because it supports harmony, melody, rhythm, and creativity all at once. Many learners feel overwhelmed at first by reading notes, coordinating both hands, or understanding rhythm patterns. I create a calm and encouraging environment where students can progress step by step, developing confidence through clear explanations and supportive guidance.
In our sessions, we focus on finger independence, rhythm accuracy, chord development, sight-reading skills, and expressive dynamics. Beginners learn simple melodies, basic hand coordination, and foundational rhythm exercises that make early progress feel rewarding. Intermediate learners expand technique through scales, smoother transitions, pedal control, and stronger musical phrasing. Advanced students refine interpretation, improvisation, performance preparation, and stylistic versatility across classical, jazz, and modern repertoire. Each lesson includes structured feedback so improvement feels steady and motivating.
