About Oscar
I am a 27 year old Musician and teacher in London. I received a 1st in Classical / Jazz piano performance from Leeds Conservatoire.
I have 7 years of experience teaching classical and jazz piano in schools and privately, as well as experience preparing for GCSE and A level music exams in school. I will always assess the students' level of playing and areas that may need work in our first lesson before moving forward with a practise plan.
Since graduating I have been working in the music industry teaching, performing, and writing/ producing music for TV adverts, Podcasts and recreationally.
I have experience in the production and live music industry and an EP coming out later this year, with many songs that I worked on currently out on streaming platforms.
I also play piano with a few different bands on a weekly basis in London, ranging from jazz piano in bars, to weddings outdoors!

Coming from a conservatoire I feel I have the opportunity to pass on first hand knowledge from some amazing first class musicians from a multitude of backgrounds and styles. I teach privately both in students homes and at my Home Studio equipped with a piano in Kensal Rise (to the students discretion).
I have confidentially led many students through their ABRSM and Trinity graded piano exams (and theory exams) and currently have a 100% pass rate - I hope to keep this going!
As a school piano and music teacher, I have also helped secondary school students through both GCSE and A level exams so have hands on experience for what is needed technically from a pianist.
