Piano Lessons AND Music Theory. (So you actually understand what you're playing)

I’ve known Benjamin for several years, and he has always been a kind and positive person. Those qualities shine through in his teaching as well. His exceptional musical knowledge, combined with his patience and encouragement, have made him an engaging and inspiring teacher for my son.

Benjamin is a GREAT teacher. He’s carefully designed a learning progression that gets you playing piano right away and learning the tools to keep exploring music on your own. I’m several weeks into my coursework and am so happy to have found an experienced, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable teacher in Benjamin.

Benjamin delivers on his promise, we were initially worried that our teenage son would struggle with online instruction rather than in person. We wanted our son to play, and did not understand how a theory would get him there. Ben and his program are engaging and supportive, my son immediately grasped the program and did not let go. He was eager to practice, and ready to learn new things and ask questions. Ben was supportive, met him where he was at, and guided him to a way of learning that worked for him. My son now constantly breaks down the music he hears, and explains concepts and theories to anyone who will listen. My son is at the piano every night, putting his new found knowledge to use, adding his own style and flair to everything he plays. I can say for certain that Ben was the right choice to allow my son to grow and love the music he plays.

When we first talked to Benjamin regarding lessons for our soon; I was a little skeptical that he could deliver all he promised. But he absolutely did! Our son looked really forward to his lessons. He learned so much that he is now coaching other kids learning to play the piano and has taught several teens from church to play songs. I have been working with Benjamin for a few weeks, and I am progressing SO MUCH faster than I ever expected. His guidance and curriculum is clear and effective, and he has made the learning process really enjoyable. I tried learning on my own, and it was a frustrating experience. Ben’s curriculum is exactly what i was looking for to become a piano player who knows how to just sit down on a keyboard and just jam. To be able to jam with friends and play chords and to be able to come up with my own song structure easily and on the spot.

His videos are absolutely well done too. They help guide you through learning the piano in a fun, simple yet effective way to help you do what you have always wanted. To be able to just understand the piano!

Benjamin is a fantastic instructor and created a thorough and holistic program for piano - I highly recommend it to anyone interested in going further with their skills! I came in with classical training under my belt, knowing how to play sheet music and some knowledge of chords, but would have difficulty writing songs/chord progressions, improvising, or accompanying myself singing.

I'm a little under 2 months into the program, and have already seen awesome improvements with my playing! Benjamin's program breaks down music in bite sized pieces that helped me fill in some knowledge gaps. I was thrilled to find that finding chord progressions for songs I've written to be WAY easier, and I'm having fun improvising. Our biweekly checkins have been super valuable, as Benjamin gives me direction on when I can move on from a module (versus my tendency to stay there until perfection) or focus in on something more important.

Can't wait to see where I get after I finish the program!

Benjamin offers the best instruction I’ve been able to find. I tried multiple books, apps, and youtube channels. Any other options I tried were much harder to follow and stick with.

Benjamin’s lessons are really well organized, fun, and you can progress at your own pace. They are easy to understand and explained clearly. I considered face to face lessons, but I feel like I’m able to learn much faster with these video lessons. And face-to-face would quickly get much more expensive. Everyone has their own learning style, but Benjamins lessons are working perfect for me.

My 13 year old son was losing interest in piano until he started lessons with Benjamin. He made piano so simple and fun- my son sits down multiple times a day to play without me reminding him! He just finished the course and feels confident and passionate about piano again and has grown so much as a musician! Benjamin has a very patient and encouraging attitude and was always there for my son. I couldn't recommend Benjamin more!!!

Ben definitely has a lot of music theory knowledge under his belt. He has been playing for so long he is good at every different aspect of piano music theory. If you have the question, Ben most likely has the answer!

Beginning piano lessons with Benjamin has opened up my understanding of instrumental music more than any other lessons that I have taken, on multiple instruments. He explains the answers to any questions, he is on time and encouraging, from lesson to lesson. I’m so happy that I now can look at the subject as a whole. Not just a chord here or there. I expect that with practice my fluency will grow with this newfound awareness of what, why and how to approach my love of playing music. I recommend that if you’ve loved music for decades, or if you have just a bit of interest, that you connect with Benjamin. You’ll be happy you did.

Benjamin’s program should be the basis for any aspiring piano player. I’d played piano for years and have made more progress in a month with Benjamin than all those other years combined. Music theory was the missing piece of the puzzle. Highly recommend Benjamin and his program!

Why is Benjamin so cool? Because he does it all! He's an instructor, a musician, and a great person who pours lots of passion into his process. This guy is the real deal. I've loved getting to learn from his piano course letting me re-explore music as an adult who once practiced as a kid. He quickly introduces the basics and teaches in a personalized way by showing how to make music your own. It's fun, simple and rewarding.

This course is awesome! It's exactly what I was looking for which is a course that gives me the support I need and resources to be successful, with the timing structure that helps me learn on my own terms. Benjamin reaches out every week to ensure that I'm staying on course and to hear out any of my questions. When I do have questions, we jump on a call and talk through it so that I can close the gap on things I'm not immediately picking up. He's clearly an expert in this field and the videos are interactive and fun. I love the music that he selects and the visual way that it's shown on the demonstrations makes it easy to follow along. I felt like I could put some tunes together myself within a month of taking this course which exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this course and Benjamin to anyone trying to learn piano!!

I had ZERO background in piano before starting Ben's course. I'm only a month in, yet his teaching style, attention-to-detail, and vast knowledge in music theory already have me confident about my capabilities!
