About Phil
I have been teaching piano since I was 13 years old, and have studied and taught in a variety of styles - classical, jazz, pop/rock, liturgical - you name it! I can provide glowing references from all the parents of my former students. My musicianship and broad knowledge of keyboard skills have served me well as I pursue my Master's degree at the New School in Manhattan.

I tailor my curriculums, expectations, and repertoire to my student and their goals - whatever you want to learn, I can guide you there. I instill confidence, good habits, and motivation in all my students, and make sure to center fun and exploration. Depending on the student's needs, I can skew towards theoretical and knowledge-based approaches, or rely more on experiential learning and ear development.
