About Olivia

I am a Physics tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Master’s degree in Physics (MPhys). My passion lies in biophysics and the physics of living systems. I have successfully guided students through complex topics such as molecular motors, membrane transport, nerve impulses, and biomechanics, helping them understand the physical principles behind life’s processes. I have worked with a diverse group of learners, including biology students, pre-med students, and anyone interested in the intersection of physics and biology. I focus on breaking down challenging concepts into clear and manageable parts, making it easier for students to grasp how physics applies to the living world. My goal is to build confidence and curiosity in students as they explore these fascinating topics. There is a special joy in applying physics to uncover the intricate workings of biological systems. I encourage my students to appreciate how physics reveals the hidden forces and mechanisms that sustain life. Together, we make learning a rewarding journey that connects theory with real-world biology.

About the lesson

My teaching approach in Physics focuses on thermodynamics, heat transfer, states of matter, and gas laws. I believe in breaking down complex macroscopic behaviors into simple, clear steps. This helps students understand how energy moves and changes in different systems.

I use a systematic method that builds concepts one at a time. This makes learning logical and easy to follow. Consistent feedback is important, so I regularly check understanding and adjust lessons to meet each student’s needs.

I work well with Gadget Hackers and Experimentalists, supporting their curiosity and hands-on learning style. Together, we’ll build a strong foundation in core principles. You’ll gain confidence and a deeper understanding of energy and its role in the world.
