About Katherine

I’m a Physics tutor with over 7 years of experience and an MSc in Physics. My passion lies in helping students understand the physics behind everyday objects and events. I believe that when we relate physics to what we see and use daily, learning becomes much more engaging and meaningful. In my sessions, I use simple demonstrations and real-world examples—like boiling water, bouncing balls, or the physics of car braking—to explain complex concepts. About the lesson

My teaching approach in Physics is systematic and clear, focusing on how to break down complex macroscopic behaviors into understandable parts. I specialize in topics like thermodynamics, heat transfer, states of matter, and gas laws. These areas help students see how energy moves and transforms in the real world.

I use diagrams, real-life examples, and step-by-step reasoning to guide students through challenging ideas. Each lesson builds logically on the last, creating a strong foundation. I encourage questions and hands-on thinking to deepen understanding. With consistent feedback, students stay on track and gain the confidence to tackle new problems.

I work especially well with Gadget Hackers and Experimentalists—learners who enjoy figuring out how things work. They receive focused support in mastering core principles and applying them in practical ways. Together, we’ll build a solid grasp of energy, matter, and the laws that connect them.
