About Zane

I tutor high school and college math up to calculus, as well as physics. I am currently a university student, studying physics. I have two years of volunteer teaching experience (not related to math or science), and genuinely care about the people I help. Having teachers and tutors that really care has made a huge difference in my life, and I hope to make that difference in someone else's life as well. I help students learn to study effectively and efficiently so that they can become self sufficient learners.

About the lesson

I can relate to students who are struggling because I've been there! Math has not always come easily to me, but I decided to work hard and make it one of my strengths. Now I can share those same techniques that I used with others. When tutoring, I use a structured method to assess and respond to current needs while preparing for future topics. I am flexible with the needs of each individual student and typically incorporate guided practice problems and personalized help. Whether you are fighting to keep your head above water in a class or just want some extra practice, I can help!

Physics can be a challenging subject, but with the right help a lot of the scary part goes away. I can help students to see past the formulas and understand what is really happening and why. I have always been very successful in my physics classes, not only getting good grades, but also helping my peers to understand the material.
