About Timothy
I am a recent graduate of the University of Queensland in Physics where I achieved 1st class honours, before this I studied my undergraduate degree in maths and physics where I received a 7 GPA. My favourite part of my honours degree was the tutoring I did teaching UQ physics courses. I found being able to provide information to students and help them to understand the world around them was inspiring and fun.

I have 3 years experience as a tutor in both high school and university mathematics, I have had students I tutor advance in their test results to the top of the class, and have positive feedback and student comfort rated highly from my sessions. I aim to tutor students with empathy and perspective, really getting into both the details of the specific problem and any knowledge gaps that the student might have. I prefer to give tutoring over problem sets that either the student or I can source. This allows me to both use specific smaller scale problems which are easier to digest, to then relate back to the bigger picture. I prefer the typical length of a tutoring session to be 1-2 hours. These lessons are for year 10 to year 12 high school physics and mathematics from maths methods to specialist mathematics, and undergraduate level university physics and first year university maths.
