About Dorian
I am a physics, maths, space, computing and technology nerd - with an infectious enthusiasm for my subject. I enjoy making difficult physics concepts easy to understand and obvious, while helping students achieve the best grades possible. I enjoy snowboarding, mountain biking, paddle boarding, music, learning languages and lots of other things. I often utilise examples from my passions to illustrate physics concepts, and help bring them to life!

I make extensive use of simulations and live demonstrations in my lessons, and always seek to include interesting, inspiring, up-to-date examples of the application of a concept, to show why it is relevant or important. I make extensive use of analogies, live demonstrations, simulations, visualisations, and practical work (including remote practical work) and a wide range of teaching/learning tools - to help make difficult physical phenomena easy to understand and remember! I am adept at developing students' mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills, and helping students identify the key areas to work on, and how to effectively progress and achieve higher grades, in line with their potential. Sessions are tailored to the needs of the student and can focus on a topic, concept, or skill, as required. I have extensive experience as a physics educator, including roles as a Space Advocate, Lead Educator, and Physics Coach for Institute of Physics, STEM learning, National Space Academy, BBC and others.
