About Victor

I am a Nuclear Regulatory Scientist with 5 years of industry experience and over 5 years of part-time tutoring experience. I have worked as a student laboratory assistant for 12 months and also worked as a professional educator for three months teaching Physical Science, English, and Mathematical Literacy. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Certificate in Business Management.

About the lesson

I tutor students in all grades and first-years in science streams. I first start by assessing my students' level of understanding and pace of understanding by creating an assessment questionnaire. Before my first lesson with a student, I involve parents to assess their expectations and their understanding of their child's abilities and aspirations. These assessments help me create a tailor-made lesson plan for my students. My tailored lessons include specific examples and case studies that cater to my students' interests and pace based on their aspirations and career goals. I prepare short pre-lesson homework to help my students prepare before every topic. I provide an environment where my learners are given the freedom to ask questions and interact with me during a lesson.
