About Olivia
I completed my B.S. degree in Physics and Math at James Madison University in 2017. At JMU, I worked for their tutoring center for 3 years as well as helping problem solve in physics classrooms for 1 year. I started a Ph.D. program at North Carolina State University in Fall 2018 where I was a Teaching Assistant, but withdrew do to medical complications. I'm looking to tutor and stay involved with physics as I decide what my next step is in life.

When approaching a problem, I find it best to go back to basics. Break down the problem into the information it gives and decide what methods and equations can utilize that information into your answer. In physics, I find unit analysis particularly useful. You'll know you didn't get the right answer if the units don't match up. Practice is also very import for getting familiar with methods and equations and will build confidence.
