About Kelsey

I’m Kelsey, a Philosophy graduate with First-Class Honours and a strong passion for moral philosophy, ethics, and clear academic writing. I’ve always enjoyed helping others understand complex ideas and develop confidence in their own reasoning, whether that’s through breaking down ethical theories or guiding students through essay structure and argumentation.

My background in philosophy has given me a solid foundation in critical thinking, analysis, and communication, and I bring these skills into every lesson. I’m patient, organised, and genuinely enjoy supporting students as they improve their understanding and produce stronger written work. I also have experience in customer service and HR recruitment, which has strengthened my ability to explain things clearly and adapt to different learning styles.

Outside of tutoring, I love reading, gaming, music, and exploring ethical questions in everyday life. I aim to create a friendly, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking deeply, and developing their academic skills at their own pace.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is supportive, structured and tailored to each student’s needs. I teach moral philosophy, ethics, essay writing and academic skills by breaking complex ideas into clear, manageable steps. During lessons, I guide students through arguments, help them develop their own critical voice, and show them how to build strong, well‑reasoned essays. I also offer detailed proofreading, helping students improve clarity, structure and academic style.

A typical lesson lasts around one hour and combines explanation, discussion, and practical exercises. I adapt my teaching to the student’s level, whether they are preparing for GCSE, A‑Level, undergraduate study or simply looking to improve their writing and understanding of ethical issues.

I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Philosophy, specialising in moral philosophy, ethical reasoning and decision-making. My academic background, combined with experience supporting others through structured tasks, allows me to teach in a clear, patient and confidence-building way.

These lessons are suitable for students of all ages who want help with ethics, moral philosophy, essay writing, or improving their academic skills. I welcome beginners, advanced learners, and anyone who wants to strengthen their understanding or produce higher-quality written work.
