About Jamie

I'm a London based founder currently pursuing my own venture in growing a creative events and consulting agency.

Having spent 8 years working as a Consultant for Deloitte and Sky, I took a short career break last year to start building my own venture, which had been a side of desk project for the previous 6 years.

I firmly believe my on company would not be where it is with the training and start I had from both Deloitte and then Sky. I want to ensure everyone is as best prepared as they can for a consulting graduate programme, in order to benefit from the skills I did in whatever career path they then choose. Some of the skills I want to share will specifically help you through the graduate application process; others are skills that will benefit your career for life

In my career so far, I have worked with NBC Universal, Comcast, BBC, Meta, BT, Vodafone, The NFL and various Government bodies. All this has led to me understand how to interact with clients and consultants from various industries, with various backgrounds, and varying motivations

It also has meant I understand which consulting skills are universal to all the work you do, and which of these skills they will be looking out for when interviewing you. I will help you bring these skills out to the forefront, and can make sure you know how to best use them when you start your graduate programme

About the lesson

Consulting is all about people skills and persuasion. I will help you understand how to use both of these to the best of your ability as you are a graduate navigating your way through your initial years. Skills we will cover include:

- Upwards, sideways and downwards management
- Client interaction
- How to effectively say no
- Core analyst / graduate skills e.g. PowerPoint and brief writing

Having spend 8 years as a Consultant at Deloitte and Sky, have experience working both services and client side. This means I understand both perspectives, and can ensure you do to. I've worked with NBC Universal, BBC, BT, Comcast, The NFL, Meta (then Facebook), and various Government departments in my careers so far, helping me understand how different industries function and how that may affect your approach to the work

Lessons with me will last 45 minutes. Depending on whether you want interview prep or grad programme prep, the course will differ - but both will start with the critical communication and persuasion skills to set you on the right path - moving onto core critical skills after that. My course can last anything from 2-5 lessons depending on what works for you. All course content is a combination of my own training at Deloitte and Sky, along with tweaks I have made based on what has worked for my career and what I believe will work better for others. In both my roles, I was responsible for the training and continual development of grads

I'm 28 years old, currently on a career break from big corporate to pursue my own venture. In my last role, I was a mid-senior manager at Sky, responsible for programmes and teams to deliver those programmes.
